So I spent last weekend mostly covering the madness of Gasparilla from the ship decorating, to the police surveillance room, all the way through to the clean up the next day. Overall it was a great and exhausting experience, the only downsides being trying to drive through a blocked-off downtown and getting yelled at by bead-hungry folks when I wouldn't stop walking to pick theirs up for them.
