Today I photographed the Highland Games, a Scottish celebration that takes place near Glasgow, Kentucky. It was so wonderfully strange. I ate haggis for the first time, entered an ax throwing competition, and saw the greatest tattoo in the world. Sadly at the end of the day I still can't tell if someone is playing the bagpipes correctly or very poorly.

Ashton
Here are a couple photos from a story we ran on Ashton Hughes, a 10-year-old with juvinile authritis among other diseases who still loves playing sports. He was a sweet kid and it was a nice story to work on, despite getting very lost on the drive there. Mock Fatal Crash
Bowling Green high schools like to scare students before prom so that they hopefully won't drink and drive. They have a fake crash scene and all the real first responders come to save the actors. I thought it was going to be kind of cheesy, but it actually felt pretty real.
