Catch

Marine Corps Sgt. Mike Nicholson, 23, practices throwing a baseball in his parent's front yard with George Siller of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in preparation for Nicholson throwing out the first pitch at the Rays game Monday night. Nicholson lost both his legs and his left arm in an IED attack in Afghanistan in 2011, and says his attitude had a lot to do with his recovery.
"If you sit there and sulk about it you're never going to get through it," said Nicholson.
George Siller and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation are currently raising funds to build Nicholson a house in South Tampa. After playing catch Monday morning, Siller said he is not worried about Nicholson successfully throwing the ceremonial first pitch.
"If you can walk into a battle you can throw a pitch," said Siller.

The Funeral

Today was the first time I've ever photographed a funeral, and only the second funeral I've ever been to. It was for former Hillsborough County Judge Don Castor, who died at 81 last week. This is a photo of one of his daughters giving a eulogy. There were probably a couple hundred people there. From what was said, Castor was a very special person, I'm a little bummed I never got to meet him.

Bobble

Hillsborough freshman shortstop Rodnie Bernard bobbles a ground ball and commits an error during Hillsborough's 4-1 victory over Leto Friday, April 12, 2013, at Hillsborough High School.

I stayed up until 4:30 a.m. to take this picture

It may not have been the worst thing the Hakkens did this past week, but these two made me wait over four hours at the jail to get photos of them being booked. How rude. Here's the reason why they were worth staying up late for.

Airplane!

I love planes just like this one, so I though I'd share it. This is a 1953 Piper Pacer that the fellow on the left owns. If I had money, I would buy a plane before I would buy a house.

Bay Area Renaissance Festival

This last photo was from an act by a guy called Doctor Inferno. He ended by eating an entire balloon in the manner you can see here, while wearing a bikini top. It was one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen.
